How to Connect a Bluetooth Transmitter to a TV

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows you to connect devices together without the use of wires. It’s most common for connecting headphones or speakers to other devices such as your car audio system, but it can also be used to stream music to a TV.
There are several ways to connect a Bluetooth transmitter, but the most common way is to plug it into one of your TV’s audio outputs. If your TV doesn’t have this, you can also get a 3.5mm audio adapter to connect the transmitter to its RCA or optical outputs.
To connect your headphones or speaker to the transmitter, you’ll need to activate Bluetooth pairing mode. Most types of Bluetooth transmitters can do this by simply pressing their power button for a few seconds until the indicator light flashes blue and red. It will then take a few minutes to find all of your devices and pair them up.
If you have problems pairing your Bluetooth devices, check your user manual. You may need to press and hold the ‘connect’ button for 3 seconds or follow instructions on your device to make it discoverable by other devices.
Step 1: Put Your Headphones or Speaker into Bluetooth Pairing Mode
To put your headset or speaker in Bluetooth pairing mode, press and hold the ‘connect’ button on the transmitter for about 3 seconds, until the LED indicator on the transmitter flashes red and blue. It will then take a few minutes for the transmitter to find all of your devices and pair them.
Once you have paired all of your headsets or speakers with the transmitter, they will begin to recognize each other as “discoverable” by other devices such as phones and computers. This process is done automatically by most Bluetooth transmitters, but you can always check with your user manual if the procedure differs from your device.
Step 2: Connect the Transmitter to your PC or Other Bluetooth-enabled Device
If your computer has a USB port, it’s simple to connect a Bluetooth transmitter to your device using a special USB dongle. These dongles are sold at most electronics stores.
It is important to note that some Bluetooth dongles are not compatible with all Bluetooth-enabled devices. Before buying one, be sure to read the manufacturer’s specifications carefully to see if it is compatible with your device.
You can find a Bluetooth adapter at most major electronics retailers, or you can order one online. If you’re unsure about whether the Bluetooth dongle you purchased is compatible with your computer, you can try installing the driver for it from the manufacturer’s website.
If your computer has a USB port, you can simply insert the dongle into it and follow the steps in the manufacturer’s manual to connect it to your device. This is an easy way to connect your Bluetooth transmitter to your computer, but be aware that it may not have a range as long as a direct connection.
